There is a vocab test for numbers 1-20, this is differentiated whereby the numbers are randomised below the questions to prompt recall. There is also a word puzzle where the numbers are jumbled, pupils rearrange the numbers (between 1 - 100) demonstrating recall of the subjects. There are maths exercises too. There is a word search of numbers from between 1 - 100. and also one from 1-20

This resource is aimed at higher candidates to improve their reading skills. It comprises of 4 A-A* questions taken from 2012-2015 WJEC higher Spanish reading exam papers. The main topics within the questions are personal information, sport, free-time and festivals.
Key exam techniques are required and it is an ideal platform to challenge pupils. This can be set as class work, home work, cover work or revision.
The resource is easy to edit and print.
Included within this resource pack is a teacher PPT with an introduction to sports, there are games included (bingo, which one is missing, tennis vocab, noughts and crosses) to practice pronunciation and aid memorisation. Opinions are also practised and the question "Tu aimes plus a sport/activity" is drilled with 5 possible answers including opinions. A summary slide is displayed to support pupils as they conduct a class survey. There is a reading exercise whereby pupils match a range of opinions. There are several slides drilling how to say you play a sport using jouer à. The slides use clear explanations. There are slides to review the new information and test understanding. There is a translation exercise "sage and scribe" to practice reading and writing.
A word search of 12 sports and activities is included. A class survey is also where pupils use tu aimes + sport/activity and their partner responds using a range of opinions - 5 are provided. Extension could be to add justification. There is also a set of picture dominoes with the 12 sports and activities in French.
These resources are designed for pupils who have a basic knowledge of German and are aimed at recapping key vocabulary. I have used them for new classes or returning after holiday time. The starter activity is a shape puzzle for pupils to match up key language. Within the teacher presentation pupils revise providing personal information (name, age, where they live, brothers and sister, favourite actor/actress, favourite film). There are opportunities to practice speaking and writing with lots of support provided. The Excel sheet contains follow me cards and a written summary consolidating the key questions that have been practiced. Please be aware that each activity is on a separate sheet of the spreadsheet.
The speaking and writing templates are easy to edit for future use with other topics.
There are two versions of this fantastic resource. A board game ready to be printed and an interactive PPT that can be played in class. Both versions contain the same 60 questions. All questions revise the content of Expo 3 vert but would be transferable to a 3rd Year French course. The animation added to the interactive questions means the questions can be tackled in a random order or if you prefer you can follow the numbers and the same order as the text book.

The future tense uncovered! This is a series of at least 2 lessons to introduce the futur proche and the futur simple. Included in the 47 slide teacher PPT presentation is revision of the conjugation of “aller” then a crossword to check understanding. The formation of the “futur proche” is shown step by step. There is a match up activity of useful time phrases. Next is an exercise to insert the correct form of “aller” in sentences containing high frequency vocabulary. There is a speaking activity with picture prompts of using the 3rd person with the “futur proche” and forming negatives. To review understanding there is a slide of 15 sentences and pupils need to say whether they are in the future or the past. There is then a reading activity about holidays to build grammar awareness, distinguishing present past and future formations.
Pupils are then taken through the formation of the “future simple”. This is very visual using animation and clear explanations. Irregular stems are listed. There is an exercise of 14 sentences and pupils have to decide whether they are in the future or the past. There is a match up activity of verbs in different forms. There is an exercise of 15 irregular verbs that need to be unscrambled. Next is a dialogue of two people writing about their future plans and pupils need to identify the verbs in the future. Easy to develop this to a comprehension task. There is a gap-fill exercise to complete on expressions that imply the future. There are 13 speaking questions for career and future plans. Next is a dominoes reading exercise can be done independently or in groups. There are then 3 reading past exam questions with solutions. The plenary is a 3-2-1 block review.

Teacher presentation to introduce "what's important to me" . The starter is a shape puzzle that recaps on school vocab. The slide can be printed off and pupils work independently to form the triangle. The teacher then introduces 7 things that are important to them. The pupils can use dictionaries and their books to prepare speaking presentations on what is important to them. There is a worksheet with a reading text that can be used for pupils as a prompt to write their own answers. There is also a storyboard template for them to prepare a plan. This would work equally well preparing for a speaking presentation. There is also a fun Sudoku puzzle.
This is a lovely lesson to use as an icebreaker with new classes.
