KS3 Sci Safety lesson - SEN

Straightforward safety lesson which would be great for a lower ability class. Quick discussion on safety scenarios they can then go around the room collecting information about the different hazard symbols (print off and put stick around the room). At the end of the ppt there is a more advanced version (longer sentences) that could be used fore a more able group. Lab safety if from an old spotlight science book - you could swap with whatever scheme you use.

A beefy lesson which will probably tale a double session for most classes as it incorporates the theory behind the word and symbol equations as well as information for a full practical session with analysis questions to finish. Your own risk assessment must be carried out for the practical.
