caffeine + reaction time investigation Y9 to GCSE level

(0)
This is a chunky resource to help structure your students planning through a reaction time/caffeine investigation. Suitable for year 9 upwards, includes the structuring of the entire investigation including an optional part you can print out that supports lower attainers and separate slides that can be printed out for more independent learners. Obviously you can also adapt it for your students Designed to be at least 5 lessons worth of work if they’re going to do the research as well.

Y9 science investigation - Bob's bricks

This investigation is structured across 6 lessons and is probably best for a mid to low attaining group. The idea is they investigate how the % of sand to cement in “Bob’s bricks” (other builders are available!) affect the strengths of the bricks. It’s an opportunity to do a full investigation as well as a bit of background research if you like. Easy to adapt if necessary but is a good trawl through the scientific method!
