This PowerPoint contains a variety of revision activities for AQA poetry. There is an important retention quiz on the contextual information for each of the names poems in the Power and Conflict section too.

This lesson uses the extract from The Reluctant Fundamentalist from the AQA extract booklet. There are a series of questions and guidance in the style of English Language Paper 1. This lesson allows you to explore the context of the text and open up interesting discussion also.

These revision activities are tailored to Romeo and Juliet and Jekyll and Hyde but can easily be adapted for other texts. This resource encourages students to engage with the text to select their own extract, thus consolidating their knowledge of the text. They should then use this mat to have a go at prospective exam questions.

Here are all my resources for guiding LPA/MPA through Romeo and Juliet. Focus is on AO2 (both language and structure) and integrating relevant AO3 comments on context into essays.

This lesson guides students towards accessing the highest bands of the mark scheme by introducing them to writing with a concept in mind. This works particularly well with HPA students, but is brilliant for stretching the MPA too.
