Two detailed paragraphs filled with language techniques to conveys the storm’s destructive power. Students will be asked to:

This is a full lesson looking at each question in depth from the novel Jaws based around the GCSE English Language Paper 1 looking at Peter Benchley’s novel Jaws. 45 slides which includes starter, Boggle word activity, match activity, Jaws video link, plenaries and assessment tasks for each of the questions 1 to 5.

This is a great starter activity for creative writing lessons, using weather and fog. The activity sheet has a paragraph personifying the fog, where students are asked to highlight the language techniques and name them. Then it opens up discussion for what connotations they can comment on.
