I have been Head of RE, Pastoral Lead and Head of PSHE & Citizenship in my 19 year teaching career. I am currently Head of PSHE & Citizenship at a large secondary school 11-18. My shop includes: PSHE and Citizenship sessions, Assemblies, Tutor Time activities SMSC, Fundamental British Values and Religious Education. They are fully resourced RE or Citizenship lessons, worksheets or 15 minute assemblies/tutor time PSHE sessions suitable for 11-18 and some can also be used for younger audiences.

This is a 15 minute assembly or tutor time PSHE session outlining the issue of body shaming. It covers definitions, the consequences of body shaming, the feelings it involves, statistics and discussion activities about who is guilty of body shaming and what can be done about it. This does not contain any written activities but could easily be lengthened to last a whole lesson. There are three short downloaded video clips that will never disappear. This session fits into the new RSHE curriculum and the PSHE curriculum and is suitable for KS3-KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13 but more suitable for KS3 and KS4 for an assembly or tutor time session.

This is a 15 minute assembly or tutor time PSHE session about privilege in society. This was originally a tutor time session for PSHE but the extension tasks and videos can be used to make a whole lesson for Citizenship or PSHE. It covers which groups in UK society are privileged, two downloaded video clips that will never disappear, definitions and ways to not let privilege define our lives. It also includes two extension downloaded video clips that could be used to make it long enough for a whole lesson. This fits in with the new RSHE and PSHE curriculum and was very successful when used at school. It is suitable for KS3, KS4 & KS5, Ages 11-18, Years 7-13.

This is a 15 minute assembly or tutor time session for KS3 -KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) which tackles the issue of suicide. It was originally a Year 10 PSHE session for tutor time. It includes why people commit suicide, what are the warning signs and what support is available to support people considering suicide or people who want to help someone else who is having suicidal thoughts. There are three short downloaded videos so they will never disappear and contains discussion activities and no written tasks. It would be easy to lengthen this issue to an hour with this resource using longer debates and written activities. This fits into the new RSHE and the PSHE curriculum and can also be used as a safeguarding session or a one-off whole school assembly.

This is a 15 minute assembly on Sexism and Gender Inequality. It was originally a tutor time PSHE session for Year 10 but is suitable for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13. It covers what sexism is and whether it is still an issue in the UK. It includes three short downloaded video clips that will never disappear! It covers sexism in the workplace, what feminism is and some statistics about sexism in the UK. It has discussion activities and no written tasks. It could easily be lengthened to a whole lesson with longer debates and written activities. This fits into the new RSHE curriculum, the PSHE curriculum and works towards addressing sexual harassment and inequality in society.

This is a 15 minute assembly, tutor time session or PSHE session for KS4 and KS5 (Ages 14-18, Years 10-13) about the rights and responsibilities we have in the workplace. It contains discussion activities and information about how to treat people and how to be safe as well as the importance of both of these. It has three short downloaded video clips so they will never disappear and is a suitable introduction to the rights and responsibilities we have in the workplace. This fits in with the new RSHE curriculum, Gatsby Careers Benchmarks and the PSHE curriculum. It can easily be lengthened to last a whole lesson if needed.

This is a 10-15 minute tutor time session abour right wing extremism in the UK. It includes definitions, the names of groups and explains what the Prevent strategy is doing to try to prevent extremism. It focuses on discussion activities and includes the murder of Jo Cox in 1016 and mentions the recent Plymouth attack. There are two short video clips downloaded so they will never disappear. This can be used as an introduction to right wing extremism as part of the PSHE curriculum, an assembly for whole school secondary age pupils or can be easily added to in order to make a longer Citizenship session. It was originally a Year 8 tutor time resource for PSHE provision but can be used for KS3-KS5 (Years 7-13 Ages 11-18). There are no written activities in this presentation. There are many other resources in my shop for Extremism, Radicalisation and Terrorism.

This is a 10-15 minute narrated assembly about dyslexia. It includes a short downloaded video which will never disappear and defines the condition, how it feels and the benefits of dyslexia looking at famous people with it. It goes through the problems someone with dyslexia has but also focuses on the strengths of having dyslexia. It also shows the students common misconceptions of dyslexia and finishes with an extension video if needed. You can easily delete the icon on each slide if you do not want it narrated. This was originally an assembly for Years 7-13 (Ages 11-18 KS3, KS4 and KS5) but it is also suitable for KS2. It can also be linked with the new RSHE curriculum, the PSHE curriculum or a whole school tutor time resource. There are no written activities in this presentation but it can easily be lengthened if it is needed for a longer lesson.
