At the present time I am Head of Science at an independent Prep School. Teaching KS3 Science so the majority of resources are KS3. I teach several year groups in mixed ability sets so most of my resource included differentiated resources to enable all students to engage whatever their ability level.
In previous job taught AQA Triple Science so a selection of resources for teaching these concepts also can be found here.

This was used as an introductory lesson to 'Microbes and Disease'. Has links to videos and clips to liven it up - I got students to draw a picture for each time period on the comic strip to show what people thought about transmission of diseases - they loved it - very fun lesson
I've adapted a sheet I found on TES (Thank you!) to add more assessment opportunities - I used this at the start of a lesson revising photosynthesis - students filled only what they were sure of at beginning of lesson then I went through lesson and then they want back to sheet and completed the rest of it.
Ppt that goes through what pathogens are, the effect they have on our bodies and the history behind infection control looking at Semmelweiss' discoveries. Includes opportunities for assessment through ppt and a cryptogram puzzle as a starter that defines a pathogen.
This was used as an introductory lesson on a cross curricular day linking science to the holocaust. Links recent uses of DNA fingerprinting to help to reunite families torn apart by the holocaust and also to attempt to identify holocaust-era forensic remains. I finished the lesson with the DNA fingerprinting mysteries - see seperate resource and then a second lesson doing a practical where the students extracted their own DNA from cheek cells
I used this with both Yr 7 and Yr 6 in the week before their end of year exams. In end of unit tests lots of pupils were missing marks as they were not giving enough detail to gain full marks - I used this ppt and attached questions to try and rectify this and to calm their exam nerves!
Forms part of the Yr 9 topic 'Drugs & Behaviour' - goes through different learning styles and how we learn includes activity to see if students learn better by reading information or using pictures
This is a lesson I put together for my students to learn about Human Reproduction remotely. Covers an intoduction to Human Reproduction and then names and functions of all parts of the male and female reproductive systems.
I have videoed myself talking through the slideshow I would usually use for this lesson in school. The video is broken into chunks so that they can complete two kahoot quizes as quick assessments as we go through the male and female reproductive systems. Worksheet used as a plenary.
This resource includes everything you need to cover this topic at KS3.
Included:
3 videos of me explaining concepts
2 kahoot quiz links
plenary worksheet
I will adding following lessons as I teach them.
Any feedback on ways to improve would be much appreciated.

This lesson covers changes that happen in the body during puberty - will be covering emotional changes in the next lesson.
