I used this to show pupils how much they have improved and come on since starting High School. I started the year making paper chains with their strengths. After they completed this they added to it and their confidence improved massively! Please comment.

Get pupils to write a twitter message to you about what they've learnt in the lesson, questions they may have and where they need to improve.

A lesson for between levels 2 to 5.

Not really sure what to call this....! Pupils are in groups of 4. They have a question to answer or something to explain. They then have two minutes to write an answer. The paper is then turned around so they can peer assess work. They then discuss and come up with a group answer in the oval. This is then shared with the class. Adapted idea from something I learnt in training.

I used this as part of a module in year 7 on other worlds. For the first activity pupils looked at the advert. In groups of 4 they each write down ideas on the 5ws and the oval is used as conclusions for group discussions. They then analysed an advert but I also added a bit of fiction work in there!

I used this as a starter to get pupils thinking about what is happening beyond the picture. They extended the picture through drawing and labelling with words. It helped to form ideas for writing in first person about them being in that disaster.

Pupils could answer one question/different questions. I usually add the question in their individual box and expand to a3 size for use.

Print off and display. To add clips/pegs to track pupil behaviour.

A revision tool for studying the poems Cousin Kate and Valentine. Useful to stick in pupil books, display on the wall and to use as a lesson resource. My pupils have found this very useful.

Write feedback to your students, allow them to self-assess and respond with their next steps. Works well.
