A simple wordsearch on energy & electricity. Word searches help concentrate on scientific literacy and aid concentration. they are good summary activities and for revision. I have tried to make this attractive and efficacious in that it uses only one side of A4.

Could be useful at the end of term. Students could then research some scientists of whom they hadn’t heard.

This is quite a challenging wordsearch, although it appears simple. ( I have now included a pdf of 30 atomic structure bingo cards)

I have added the new definitions to the SI wheel of units. Possibly for display in your lab.

A little bit of ‘learning without working’ activity for the end of term, in black and white for easy cheap photocopying. Suitable for all abilities, but earlier years may need to look some clues up. The answers are included.

I have tried to illustrate the concept of separation of water molecules rather than breaking covalent bonds when water is heated with a quick and dirty animation. Click on the water boiling.html file and it will run in your browser.

A Drag & Drop exercise for building up the electronic structure of atoms. After a short cartoon for building up an atom of calcium, students build up four atoms by drag and drop. Could be used projected on the whiteboard or by students individually at computers. Double click on the full atomic structure.html file and it will open in your browser.
