Hello! I am an English and media studies teacher and have been teaching for 7 years, 3 of which have been spent in the Middle East. My resources span across KS3, GCSE, A Level and IB. I'm a big fan of creative, eye-catching displays that help children to learn and help themselves in the classroom so many of my resources are snippets of things I have in my own classroom. My banner photo shows how you could use them in your own setting. I hope my resources are useful to you!

This powerpoint explores Enoch Powells' 1968 Rivers of Blood speech. I used it as an introduction to looking at the immigration crisis in the UK and subsequent political speeches and articles in 2015/2016. The powerpoint includes activities, further reading, youtube clips and a transcript of the speech.

The Myth of Sysiphus and Absurdism Albert Camus

(0)
This power point is a series of activities based around the Myth of Sysiphus, both the original and the Albert Camus essay. I used it as part of part 4 of the English A international Baccalaureate language and literature syllabus. Also included are the texts you will need for the students to read. This relates to the text 'The Outsider/The Stranger' The first slide refers to the original myth, the other activities refer to the Camus essay.
