So you need to find five sixths of 30 for example. There are a total of four operations so there up to 36 answers students need to find. Working alongside this is a more challenging sheet, which involves the students using the ‘output’ numbers first to work out the ‘input’ numbers, and hence understanding the importance of working backwards through the operations. Most importantly, both the basic style worksheet and the challenging worksheet work in conjunction with each other, such that they both link to the same solutions, which are provided.
