They become familiar with the digits and their corresponding number names. Number representation: Children learn different ways to represent numbers, including using numerals, words, and pictures. They begin to understand that a number can be shown in different forms. Place value: They explore the concept of place value, understanding that the position of a digit in a number represents its value. For example, in the number 36, the digit 3 represents three tens, and the digit 6 represents six ones. Estimation: They develop the ability to estimate quantities by making educated guesses or approximations.
