A lesson for a mixed ability group following the AQA Physics Scheme of Work on Forces - Centre of Mass. Includes some challenging questions towards the end to push grade 7-9 students and a practical to find the centre of mass of an irregular shaped object.

A complete lesson designed for the NEW AQA 9-1 specification. This lesson starts to look at the many equations that students need to know and memorise for the specification. As well as working on the equations and units, this lesson also include 30 practice questions that I have written to get students used to using and rearranging the equations. There is a large amount of differentiation within the lesson from very basic questions to questions that require students to use more than 1 equations to solve the questions. There is also practice on using significant figures, as this is generally an area of weakness for students in physics.
