They can add color to develop their own super suit and then they can think and write about the super powers that their character will have. There is also a blank worksheet for kids to draw out their own superhero from scratch. You could encourage children to write about super powers linked to study skills, for instance, super memory or super writing ability …. An over busy brain makes it difficult to concentrate on tasks and the feelings associated with anxiety can cause distress and further anxiety. Recent research suggests that activities which focus the mind without being overly taxing can help break the cycle of worry and anxiety and can help calm the busy mind. One such activity is coloring. This resource provides 40 original hand drawn kaleidoscopic images. The repetitive nature of the patterns is intentional, encouraging the individual to settle into a calming routine. This resource provides a step by step art project suitable for year 3, 4, 5 and 6 students. The photocopiable work book guides students through a range of fun, informative, creative processes. All tasks are related to the natural world and encourage students to engage with the environment. Tasks are "self differentiating" , meaning that students of all abilities can access the tasks and develop work at an appropriate level. Students are also introduced to a range of artists along the way. Each task build on the previous one and culminates in the student devising a final outcome (a final piece of artwork).
