This resource provides a bank of report comments that are aligned to the new specifications. The resource is provided as a Word document for ease of copying and editing. New for 2018-9. This Art unit of work for 11 to 14 year olds focusses on the links between art and science through the exploration of movement, dynamism and energy. The work of the Futurists, Action artists, kinetic artists and photographic artists is explored through exciting experimentation with media. Students are encouraged to develop a Growth Mind-set and retain ownership of their work, developing it through informed decision making. The scheme of work includes lesson by lesson structure, materials list, artist references and homework.

GCSE Art students will soon be undertaking their 10 hour art exam. This printable handout provides prompts which encourage students to consider how they have developed their ideas and how they have linked them to observations, the work of artists, media experimentation and use of techniques. It also encourages students to think carefully about what they still need to do before the exam day and what materials and prepping is needed before exam time starts. Each prompt provides space for students to write down their thoughts. This 6 page document can then be stuck into their sketchbooks to provide further evidence to the visiting moderator that there is a clear “creative journey” and that clear links have also been made to the four Assessment Objectives. This handout has been used effectively in an Ofsted Outstanding Art department.
