Spanish Thanksgiving Booklet / Accion de Gracias - Elementary - This item includes 4 different designs of a Spanish Thanksgiving food vocabulary booklet. Each emergent reader booklet contains 8 pages with Spanish phrases such as "Me gusta el pavo" at the top. One design has Spanish phrases only and 1 has Spanish and English phrases. For these 2 designs, students draw their own pictures in the booklets. The other 2 designs have Spanish and English with pictures and are to be used for reading and pronunciation practice, either alone, with a partner or to a family member for a homework assignment. Also included is a page explaining the uses of the booklets and a link to instructions for folding the booklets.

This 50 word puzzle with 8 images to identify is great to use at the end of the school year, for summer school programs, or for a back to school review. The materials work well for sub plans, as well. After students complete the puzzle, partners can quiz each other using the student vocabulary handouts.
The puzzle contains a wide variety of vocabulary for all things summer, including weather expressions, beach nouns, sports, infinitive verbs, summer clothing, and even summer insects! Sample words are: luciérnaga, sandía, nadar, traje de baño, lluvia, descalzo, hace sol, feria, gafas del sol, vacaciones, helado, and piscina.
Students are instructed to:
1. Write Spanish words under each picture.
2. Write the Spanish meaning next to each clue.
3. Complete the puzzle with Spanish words.

Students sketch inside the crystal ball what they see in their futures. They then describe their sketches by either writing a designated number of sentences (4 or 8), or a paragraph. There is a different version for each of the 3 versions included:

Both ir a + infinitive and the future tense will work well for this activity. Neither is specified to allow for flexibility with your students.

Students practice Spanish speaking countries and capitals in a fun way! This PowerPoint Jeopardy game contains all 20 official Spanish speaking countries, plus countries and territories where Spanish is still widely spoken, or where there has been significant Spanish influence in the past. They include Puerto Rico, Andorra, Guam, Philippines, and Gibraltar. The 5 categories are North America A, North America B, South America, South America and Africa, and Potpourri. Students assemble a 4 x 4 Spanish/English puzzle with 27 calendar related vocabulary words. Several words are repeated which makes the puzzle more challenging. The download includes a page with tips and suggestions for using the puzzles. Your students will love this engaging, hands on vocabulary activity!
Just photocopy enough for a class set (1 for every 2 students if working in pairs, or 1 per student if working alone), cut and fasten with a paper clip. Distribute to students and challenge them to reassemble the puzzles as quickly as possible. There is a list of all words alongside the puzzle in Spanish and English.
