Non-fiction sort board, cards and recording sheet. This sort activity is intended for use at a literacy center. How does this work? The student places the six category cards on the marked spots. Next, they place the appropriate definition cards under the category cards. Then they sort the 18 numbered cards placing them under the appropriate category. Last, students complete a recording sheet indicating the structures and signal words found.
