Two Minute Classroom Drill - American Football Inspired

This is an American Football inspired two-minute PPT countdown During practice, the team works out a plan for the last two minutes of the half or game. Everyone knows what to do.There is little communication, as everyone knows their task. You can use the two-minute drill to focus the students for two-minutes or have them tidy up.

This is a basic lesson which encourages students to research important African-Americans and their contributions to society. This can be combined with my Historical Significance lesson. The timeline is the basic info about a political leader who carried on MLK's work in Civil Rights There are some useful videos located on YouTube.

Learn with a ChalkBoard Image

We know that organising topics into themes and key points can be very helpful when learning or revising a topic. The website allows for a title and between one to six points to be generated into a simple chalkboard image. Save those images in folders and invoke your memories with a classroom setting to put you in the learning frame of mind. This is a PowerPoint Template of sorts. I have not fixed the images or text so you can move them around. Look for my Learn with Bart PowerPoint and Learn with Chalkboard, which are a useful revision tool
PESCM IT! Game Explained with Samples - Analysis

PESCM IT! Game Explained with Samples - Analysis

(0)
PESCM IT is a simple historical knowledge game which gives you an event to examine through the prism of PESCM. PESCM stands for Political, Economic, Social/Cultural and Military. You simply state facts or opinions under the prism of PESCM and see if they match those given on the back of the card. The more difficult your analysis the more points you gain. PESCM is a great way to break down an event and look at different aspects of it. This can stimulate analytical thought along side factual recall. Both are needed to argue your opinion with the new History GCSE. PESCM IT! Packs on a wide variety of specific topic events such as Elizabethan England are available. Look out for other games and puzzles from @teacherstevo

This micro history template is inspired by several different twitter uses. I have created PowerPoint templates in A4 and A3 that you can use to cfreate your own micro history content that links to the wider history course. Great for making large topics seem relevant! For example, GCSE Crime and Punishment and Medicine through Time

Source Analysis Explained - 10 Techniques to Use - Activities

All of the displays and presentations are in this resource. The "Add a source" files are PPT that explain how they can be used to create double-sided handouts for an activity or homework exercise. Find a technique that works for you and your students. I have created four different potential worksheets from the PPTs, you could create six more from the resources here. Why not display a few and see which the students prefer.
