This is a complete package for a lesson I did based on a DFMA question from the Level 2 OCR Cambridge Nationals exam on Engineering Design. It was rated as outstanding, and I was offered the job too.
I put this together to give pupils an overview of packaging nets and the graphic design that goes with food packaging. Lots of nets for them to cut and, construct and do graphic design on.
This is an animated power point showing how to answer the orthographic questions on my mock exam. The animations are triggered by clicking the mouse so you can go at the learners pace or go backwards if necessary!
Thought I'd put this together for the last push on revision tomorrow. I&'ve differentiated the questions using blooms so it gets harder the higher they go!
Please feel free to comment.
These have been created for the 2016 AQA GCSE Engineering exam to make revision more fun. I am adding more as and when I get the time. The orginal powerpoint is not mine, hence they are shared for free. All I ask is that you create your own and upload please!
This is my take on the impact of engineering sheet for my pupils. It takes into account what new technologies we are using to produce our parts and how they would have been made without them and what impact this has on cost, time and design.
This is a simple three page test with answers on the end to see whereabouts Year 7 are at the start and then end of the rotation with me. It includes tools and equipment, Materials and components and CAD/CAM that they use on the project they do.
This is a short power point with animations to show pupils how to answer the 2014 AQA GCSE Engineering Orthographic projection exam questions.
The animations start off with a blank page and end with the correct answer. Each animation is moved on with a click to make sure all learners can understand at their pace.
This 3 lesson, 3D printing course has everything you need to show how 3D printers are used. It can be used as a stand alone course or integrated into upper KS3 / KS4. This is also great to show parents as part of open evenings and when pupils are thinking about choosing D&T.
This resource pack has -
Independent learning instructions,
A workbook to demonstrate progress with self, peer and teacher assessment and provide holding tasks if resources are limited,
All of the 3D printing files needed to show pupils what is being printed - send me a message on here and I will send the files to your email as I cannot upload them on here.
Homework with answers included for the teacher.
I also have the corresponding 3D CAD course in my resources so everything is taken care of for you.
With ever diminishing time for practical, this is a series of 9 lessons to teach pupils how to work with different materials. With an independent work booklet showing step by step how to manipulate materials to give focused practical task sessions.
This series of lessons meet the GCSE requirement of pupils experimenting with different materials instead of doing projects.
