Ideas I came up with for Diversity Week for my year 6 class, it would also be appropriate for year 5. The research project survey information can also be found on my TES shop :)
I did this research myself and had 28 responses. I did it because I couldn’t find this information like this online for my (year 6) class and I can’t give any experience as a straight person.
It was designed to be the basis of a lesson during Diversity week where we would analyse the data. This is why there are also questions attached. Use it how you wish.
Powerpoint and thinking maps covering topics of love, marriage, civil partnerships and forced marriages. All made to be child friendly and used information from trusted sites to make sensitive topics accessible for year 6 children.
Designed to be diverse too so it fits in with the PSHE curriculum for 2020.
