Whilst Exercising
Start with a warm-up: Before you begin revising, start with a quick warm-up to get your heart rate up and prepare your body for exercise. This can include jumping jacks, jogging in place, or doing a few minutes of yoga.
Use an active desk: Use a standing or treadmill desk to keep your body moving while you work. This can help you burn calories and improve your posture.
Take study breaks: Take regular study breaks and use them as an opportunity to move your body. This can include doing some push-ups, stretching, or going for a quick walk around the block.

Relaxing Study Music and Animated Slide Image - Lord of the Rings Shire Music for English and Art.
You will find attached a Powerpoint with an image of the shire and some animated images that move softly whilst the students are working.
The music is approx 10 hours long and it automatically plays (as do the animations) so you don’t have to click anything until you want to stop it.
Great study music, adds a great atmosphere to the classroom without the annoying Youtube ads when you play music there!

Mini Teachers - Lanyards / Stickers and Badges for Peer Support in Class.
The editable powerpoint and PDF have:
Mini Teacher Lanyards (please print and fold down the middle, then laminate them and punch a hole to make a lanyard or simply purchase the clear lanyard - the children love these as many actual teachers wear them too!)
Circular stickers and badges - ideal if you have sticker paper. but also could be laminated and used as simple stickers.
These have worked great at our school. The children who finish their work go over to the spare lanyards and then go round helping their peers. It’s a joy to watch.
Why they are useful (also on Powerpoint):
Appropriate for all primary aged children.
Gives the children a desire to finish to a good standard.
Gives the children ‘something else to do’ after they finish.
Promotes ‘greater depth’ learning because if a child can explain a concept, it generally means they understand it at a higher level.
Makes your life easier! (Fewer queues!)
Rules I made for them (also on reverse of cards):
Rules
You can only be a mini teacher when you have finished your work.
When helping another student you mustn’t give them the answer, only support them to get it.
Remember to be positive and show a growth mindset when you help other people.
20 Outdoor Forest School Activities for Primary School as follows.
First three examples:
Nature Scavenger Hunt: Create a list of items for students to find in the forest, such as leaves, acorns, feathers, or different types of rocks. They can explore and learn about the environment while searching for these items.
Tree Identification: Teach students how to identify trees based on their leaves, bark, or other characteristics. This activity helps them connect with the natural world.
Wildlife Tracking: Encourage children to look for animal tracks, nests, and signs of wildlife. They can learn about the local ecosystem and the animals that inhabit it.
Enjoy the free resource!
Persuasive Writing - Persuade an audience to buy the chocolate that you designed! Creative Writing.
A handful of slides including a video with what is needed to create a good piece of advertising (with a focus on a new chocolate bar).
Also attached are some blank chocolate templates for students to use to design the chocolate too.
Enjoy!
