Circulatory System Research Report for Fourth and Fifth Grades
We have developed this report template and additional worksheets, organizers, tools and forms to use for your students to create, develop, write, edit, illustrate, present, and assess your students’ research report. In the Common Core Standards for English Language Arts on page 33, students are expected to build knowledge systematically by using nonfiction text in the areas of history/ social studies and science in a variety of areas. One of these areas in grades 4 and 5 is to read informational/ expository text within the subject matter of the Circulatory System;" This report is also designed to not only learn and explain the new information, but answer some “Essential Questions” (higher level thinking questions) to further assess the students’ grasp of the information. This is also a component of the common core teaching strategies. This packet supports this standard and extends it into the areas of writing, listening and speaking.
