As Deputy Head of English, I make tonnes of resources. So, I share them. I don't go overboard with my pricing, instead I try to consider what I would be willing to pay in order to be able to buy several things and save the hours I have put into making the quality resources I have available - without wanting to bankrupt fellow colleagues!

To get the new academic year off to a great start and headed in the right direction or as a great focus with a new class, choose a ‘WORD GOAL’ for the rest of the year.
A word goal is a word that helps to focus on an area of your life in which you want to improve, grow, develop or do more.
This resources helps to guide students through their selection (sheet 1) then explain their selection and set some initial actions (sheet 2) and then revisit their word at several kep points in the year (sheet 3) to review and refocus.
I have also added a display title if you wanted to put the ‘Word Goals’ up on display.
This has worked really well in the past and also works well hand in hand with the ‘Letter to my Future Self Lesson’ which I also have available.
Staffroom bingo cards.
Ready to laminate and display.
The idea is that staff write their name or a colleague’s name on them when they have achieved what the ‘bingo’ cell says. They can then be wiped and re-used or swapped / shared with another dept.
The people with a line or full house at the end of a week or Half Term win a prize.
Great for staff well being and / or motivation. Just a bit of fun and can be edited to suit your own department (especially if you have a focus for the current HT).
Hope you enjoy.
I sent this home to my form to let them know that they are part of something bigger, they are still part of our form, and that I am very proud of them as we go into our final half term of the year.
You can change to add your own Bitmojis or other images.
Once printed, cut around the black boxes ideally one will stick to the front and one will be placed inside.
Bold an A4 piece of card lengthwise, so you have a long thin piece of card approximately 30 cm X 10 cm. Then cut this piece in half. Each text box that you have cut should fit safely within and be able to be glued to look like the pictures I have added with the resource.
Alternatively, you could stick back to back or just use one box to make it look more like a postcard and add the address on the other side ready to post.
Please feel free to edit and share your finished results with me on twitter @nowtcheesy
Pub Quiz - 9 Rounds - Cross Curricular - Dingbats and Picture round - Answers included.
I used this a staff pub quiz to raise money for our school charity.
It was good fun - challenging at points - there were teams representing each of the subject areas included.
The money raised by charging for this quiz will continue to be donated to the British Heart Foundation.
Hope you enjoy.
