Hi English teachers!! We are all so busy and I am finding TES is a great new place to share resources and cut down on planning. Here I will post resources for the new GCSE specifications. I teach AQA Eng Lang and Lit - Jekyll, Inspector, Power and Conflict, Xmas Carol. I teach OCR A Level Literature and igcse resit. I also have lots of KS3 resources and starter activities which can be used for KS2 or KS3. I hope you find something of interest.

Imagine you were going to be marooned on a desert island for a significant amount of time, and could choose just one celebrity to take with you. Plan for three paragraphs of writing which can be peer marked. An example is included on the next slide to get students started. Can lead into a balloon debate style task. As an extension, students could consider who would be least useful on the desert island.
