This lesson guides the students to getting A* in momentum in 1 lesson. The power point is SEN friendly in text, background and colour. It includes rearranging equation worksheets, exam based assessment, model answers, timer, differentiated task and flows exceptionally well as a lesson. The second main task ticks all the objective boxes on specifications and is a great way of developing the students exam technique. Set up an enable table in your room and add rearranging equations resources (in any science textbook) to support students learning.

This includes Kagan activities, differentiated tasks, plenary, self assessment and is focused on developing the students understanding at particle level then applying these skills. I do not claim ownership of some of these resources but have put them together as a bundle to support the lesson. This lesson is targeted at foundation level. The independent 5 minute time is to allow them to over come barriers themselves and improve their confidence to support resilience.

Animal and plant cells resources

Resources to use to teach animal and plant cells for KS3 These resources have Kagan activities, group work, independent work, differentiation for higher and foundation as well as a magazine writing theme for the main task. ( different to the standard model making lesson that so often ends up being a homework). I set the scene that a rival magazine firm has vandalised The Cells work and they are employed to fix it. This is easily differentiated by adding and removing information from the worksheet to push/support the students as much as possible. A great lesson to teach!

A fantastic selection of key word sheets to support literacy in the biology module. I have used these throughout the topic, as a topic summary and as an introduction to the topic. These work particularly well when linked to parental engagement as parents can quiz the students on the key words and support their learning of these.
