It considers managing water supply, new agricultural methods, flood defences and artificial glaciers. Included is an active starter activity to engage the students immediately. Support activity sheets to summarise the key learning or support weaker students are also included . Differentiated exam questions are also included. The lesson makes reference to the Hodder or Oxford textbooks for the main activity as the exam board have specified the content, but other sources would work just as well. No other resources are necessary , simply print off the supporting worksheets. The resource makes reference to the Oxford Textbook but a double sided Knowledge Organiser has been included which means that a textbook is not required. Also includes a scaffolded exam question which covers the assessment requirements of the longer questions. The scaffolded question provides a model answer for students. The 2018 examiners report identifies this area as one where students struggled to apply their case study to the question.

The Power-point has differentiated objectives linked to the new levels. Teacher notes are included on the slides. It uses Bangladesh and the USA as examples with the use of public information films and hurricane shelters. A photo annotation task is also included. Suitable for all new GCSE specifications but written for the AQA syllabus.
This lesson concentrates on the wide range of evidence available for climate change. It covers the historical evidence, glacial retreat, ice cores, direct temperature readings through to recent changes in sea ice coverage. It is designed to be used with the Oxford Textbook with a graphic organiser linked to the double-page spread but plenty of video links are included for variety and the book is not necessary. but other sources can be used instead. A range of options is included to cover the material, depending on the sources available. A graphic organiser has been kept relatively generic to allow for a variety of texts/sources to be used but it is ideal if using the Oxford Textbook. Differentiated questions have also been included.
