A set of resources that cover the opportunities and challenges section of the Urban World Course. These are standalone resources that are designed to be used after both city case studies have been taught to help bring out similarities and differences between cities and help students focus on themes. They can be printed off and used as they are or integrated into structured revision. The use of venn diagrams as graphic organisers help students to separate out the key differences but crucially how challenges such as transport provision are actuall very similar. Then students can be asked to turn the generic statements into specifics for revision purposes. Ideal for use at home.
These can be successfully used with the specific city knowledge organisers, or their own revision notes but will work well with any textbook / revision guide case study. The resource is fully editable so can easily be adapted to fit into your teaching. All terminology is based on the AQA syllaubus as students can struggle to recognise what ‘challenges’ and 'opportunities actually mean in an exam question.
