This eye-opening documentary follows a group of teenagers in their quest to cross the border into the United States. It is a fantastic learning experience for a Spanish, Social Studies, or Government class. Challenge students to identify the struggles represented in the film and compare them to their own lives. Discuss with your students 11 high-level, short answer and essay questions by pausing at the designated times on the movie guide.
An answer key is not included as many questions are open-ended and encourage students to analyze the film. Many answers will not fit into a ‘box’. Students are encouraged to construct their own meaning from the characters’ dialogue and behavior.<br />
