I start by cutting up the maps like a puzzle and labels and arrows and getting them to arrange them as they think they should go. Students love this and helps them understand the movement of goods

On the reverse is similar for the WW1 section looking at notes on each key battle, developments in treatment and prevention at the same time and the stages of the evac route.
