This is a peer assessment resource designed around the Golden State Warriors. It breaks down the step by step process of shooting which will support teaching and assessment.
This resource is a fun fitness game for pupils to take part in as part of a health and fitness scheme of work. These kcal figures are not accurate so it is important to discuss this with pupils and the importance of a balanced diet and how it can support mental health.
This resource requires a deck of cards and the rules are written on the resource. The teacher will select the exercise the pupil need to perform if the cards they pick do not match any on their bingo sheet.
Cardio Cards Circuit requires a deck of cards to be spread around on the floor in the middle of the room. Around the edge would be all the station cards. Each time a pupil/pair reach a station they have to run into the middle and pick a random card. Whichever suit it is decides the exercise variation they need to perform and the amount is how many reps they have to perform in each set. The teacher can set a time limit on how long they spend on each station.
In pairs, pupils will decide who is the contestant and who is the chaser. Where the contestant decides to start decides how many extra reps they will need to do compared to the chaser. Each step down has a different exercise and each station is based on a different area of the body.
This is a complete planned unit for the Cambridge National Qualification from OCR in Sport Science. This resource contains all the necessary information to Lead and Deliver Unit R181 ‘Applying the Principles of Training’. This Unit is split into 4 different Topic Area, each having their own carefully planned PowerPoint. TA1 Contains a breakdown of the requirements for Task 1 and 2 which are based around Fitness Testing and Components of Fitness. TA1 is all about how students can relate components of fitness to skills in two different sporting activities. TA2 students need to support a client provided in the scenario of how to train effectively. TA3 contains all the details to support students to deliver plan a 6 week training programme. TA4 is where the students will review the effectiveness of their training programme. Within this resource there is also a PowerPoint to assist the class teacher in the marking of the students coursework, breaking down key information required for each assignment clearly with the corresponding marks. I have also attached some documents downloaded for free from TeachCambridge (OCR supported website) that clarify each of the Assignments and Unit recording sheets when the students work is submitted for moderation.
