TSL Education's revolutionary free online recruitment service for schools, TES HireWire, approaches its first anniversary with an incredible 75 percent of secondary schools in England signed up and celebrates its 2,500th school coming on board today.

In a similar incredible achievement, TES HireWire LA, exclusively designed for local authorities and launched just a month ago, has already got 50 local authorities in England (30 per cent) subscribed to the service.

Bill Donoghue, Managing Director at TSL Education, said: "TES HireWire has been a huge success for TSL, exceeding all expectations in its first year, and this remarkable achievement makes TES HireWire the undisputed market leader. Our success endorses the multimillion-pound investment we have made. From the very positive feedback we receive from schools and candidates alike, the industry recognition from the BETT Awards shortlist, 2,500 secondary schools using the service, some 32,000 teachers registered as candidates and more than 3,200 vacancies advertised in a variety of media, we are delighted and overwhelmed by its success. Our strategy at TSL Education is to help schools recruit the best teachers for the right roles in a timely and cost-effective way. TES HireWire supports that strategy and helps professionalise the recruitment process at the same time."

Bill Donoghue continues, "In addition to all the functionality of the school service the Local Authority version also provides detailed reporting on recruitment KPIs for their schools, giving greater visibility of trends and enabling them to better strategically support their schools. The feedback from local authorities nationwide has been very positive and speaks for itself."

"I am very impressed with TES HireWire and I've seen many recruitment management systems. It is an intuitive and highly flexible service that can accommodate existing LA processes and deliver real efficiencies for schools." Stuart Perkins, Recruitment Marketing Manager, Worcestershire County Council.

"Hertfordshire County Council has been involved in the development of the local authority version of TES HireWire. Its launch will help us to achieve our objective of driving efficiencies in school recruitment." Katie Kennedy, Recruitment & Workforce Modernisation Manager, Hertfordshire County Council.

"TES HireWire is an exciting and innovative service which has the potential to add value across the entire school recruitment process". Sandra Hunter, Senior School Support Officer, Northumberland County Council.

"I welcome the TES HireWire LA initiative and look forward to using the service to recruit our NQTs and to establish stronger links with our schools." Kelvin Wilson, Teacher Recruitment Manager, Redbridge Council.
