The TESS (The Times Educational Supplement Scotland) was named Business and Professional Magazine of the Year at the PPA’s Scottish Magazine Awards 2008, one of the publishing industry's top awards ceremonies.

Published by TSL Education Limited, The TESS has been shortlisted in the Business and Professional Magazine of the Year category for two consecutive years in the PPA’s Scottish Magazine Awards and was this year also a finalist in the event’s newest award category, Sales Initiative of the Year.

The TESS was re-launched to the Scottish market as a bespoke, stand-alone title in November 2006 with the assistance of design legend David Hillman. The weekly publication presents Scottish news and features through a colorful, clean design, complemented by a UK wide magazine.

The TESS is one of the country’s leading professional publications with content specifically targeted to the needs and aspirations of readers working in the world of Scottish education.

The PPA Scottish Magazine awards are given for work originally published in Scotland - or for work published outside Scotland but addressing the Scottish market, regardless of where the publication originated - across seventeen categories. The winners were announced at a gala dinner on Thursday 27 November at The Radisson Hotel in Argyle Street, Glasgow.
