Why Teachers Make the Best Edtech Administrators

Teachers can and should have a real and positive impact on the development and roll out of edtech in the classroom. They make fantastic entrepreneurs (read a blog on the subject from our CEO here) and now Chicago’s Jennie Magiera makes a clear case for why they make the ideal edtech administrator or even CTO.

In a conversation with Edsurge’s Mary Jo Madda, Jennie argues that her teaching ability and experience has helped her to be a better version of her current role and helped in the way she leads. She underlines the need to stay rooted in the classroom (she still teaches) and concludes that “all administrators need at least five years of classroom experience” to be truly effective.
