An overview of how films are sold to the worldwide consumer. Specifically made for the Action Adventure topic, but easily adaptable. My lesson after this focuses specifically on websites and film poster deconstruction.
This worksheet looks at the "Product" element of the Marketing Mix and focuses on Product Failures, Product Design and the Product Life-cycle, using a McDonald's theme.
This lesson works best if students have access to the internet (via a laptop or even a mobile device) as there is a research element involved about product failures. If students do not have internet access, this could be completed as a homework activity.
BTEC National Level 3 Unit 2 ALL YOU NEED
Powerpoint resources to deliver this whole unit, this should be all that is needed to deliver the unit. There are some additional links and teacher notes within the notes sections of the powerpoints to support delivery.
Lesson objectives are throughout the slides, at suitable points for me, these can be moved and edited easily to meet specific schools needs. The lessons follow the mark scheme so are split up as an introductory topic, the rationale (Paper A) and the marketing campaign (Paper B). There are over 250 slides in the 3 PPTs, these can then be split up according to your centre and timing needs.
Additional tutor2U resources can be purchased, I have kept in slides for my planning purposes, although these specific resources are not included, this will not hinder the delivery of these lessons.
The latest in the new series of PowerPoint resources aimed at assisting teachers with the delivery of the WJEC/Eduqas A-level Business specification but is suitable for all boards. These slides and hand out are designed to support the delivery of the Component One topic of markets. They explain what is meant by markets and competition before identifying the features of some of the main types of market e.g. local, national, global, B2B, mass, niche, product, service and seasonal. The slides then analyse and interpret the impact of market data, market share and market size. Next they consider the role, methods and purpose of market segmentation before they conclude with a detailed assessment of markets and degrees of competition found within them. This includes analysis of the full spectrum of competition ranging from perfectly competitive markets to pure monopoly. The slides contain the Quick Fire Five questions and also a practice essay (all with suggested solutions). In addition to the main PowerPoint a PDF copy of the notes has been provided to assist with pupil hand outs.
