<p>This is the best worksheet for the New Year as students reflect about what they have accomplished in the previous year and also curate new goals for the new year. In this lesson, students are going to match phrases and meaning; listen to a TED Talk by Derek Shivers about silent ambition (from YouTube; do a cloze test and describe achievemnet. The highlight of this lesson is the last part of the worksheet wherein teh students will write a SMART goal using the guide questions.</p>
Worksheet to help introduce the concept of smart materials to students. This pdf can be printed and made into a 4 sided A4 booklet. It includes information and images about 13 different smart materials & their applications e.g. polymorph, smart grease, photochromic and shape memory alloys. I produced this to use with A Level students but it would also be useful at GCSE level.
<p>This is a user-friendly mark book made in Excel. It automatically works out the student’s overall term grade based on work they have submitted, as both a percentage as well as a grade.</p>
<p>It provides students with the ability to see what grade they are currently working at based on work they have submitted so far in the term - they can see if they are on track for, or how far off they are from, an A or B for example.</p>
<p>By simply inputting the “%” symbol in the column headings, the grade for an assignment will be automatically included in working out the overall term grade.</p>
<p>Grade boundaries can be customized easily, and the mark book will update automatically. You won’t have to calculate grades or percentages again.</p>
<p>If students haven’t submitted work, or were absent, a simple code such as “x” or “as” can be entered into the cell which will then automatically become highlighted in a certain colour.</p>
<p>Students can see the result for each peace of work they have done as a percentage.</p>
<p>The spreadsheet can easily be uploaded to Google sheets also.</p>
<p>Use this resource to write Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time bound year 4 writing targets.</p>
<p>Useful for teachers when assessing so you can narrow down the statements from the National Curriculum into small next steps which the children can understand.</p>
<p>Broken down into targets for punctuation, handwriting, grammar and composition.</p>
<p>You could print out one for each child and use as an assessment tool.</p>
