Contract: Full Time – 35 hours per week, Term Time Only + 1 week during school holidays 

Salary: Grade 4, Pt 9-17   £22,538 - £25,814

Hours: 9:00am-4:30pm (30 minute unpaid lunch break)

St Julie’s Catholic High School is a popular and oversubscribed school for girls, situated in the conservation area of Woolton Village, South Liverpool. In September 2017, we moved into our brand new £23 million school building. 

 In May 2023 OFSTED graded St. Julie’s as Good with Outstanding features, with the same judgement reached by the Catholic Schools’ Inspectorate in February 2024. We are seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the position of Assistant School Business Manager. The role will include supporting the Headteacher and Business Manager with Human Resource matters to include staff recruitment and associated safeguarding procedures, undertaking financial management and processing and as Clerk to the Governing Body provide professional clerking services to include providing advice to the governing body on governance, constitutional and procedural matters and provide effective administrative support. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, be able to work independently whilst at the same time forming effective relationships with governors and school teams. The successful candidate must be able to organise their own time and work to strict deadlines.  Previous experience related to staff recruitment, school finance and governing body procedures in a similar role is desirable.

The job role is full time at 35 hours per week (term time) and will require some flexible working as the Clerk to Governors is required to attend all Governing Body meetings.

St Julie's Catholic High School is a denominational girls' secondary school in Woolton, Liverpool. The school operates a collaborative co-educational sixth form in conjunction with St Francis Xavier College in Liverpool.

At its most recent inspection, there were 978 students on the St Julie’s school roll, including 177 enrolled in 16-19 study programmes.
