We are looking to recruit an excellent technician to lead an established and supportive team. The successful applicant will play a significant role in the delivery of engaging and exciting practical science as part of our high achieving Science Department.

 

The Science Department at King Edward VI Grammar School (KEGS) comprises 13 specialist teachers and 5 science technicians who mostly operate within one particular specialism, but also support one another extensively as required. We are looking forward to welcoming a new colleague to join our friendly and hardworking team.

 

The successful applicant will have good organisational, planning and time management skills. They will also have good understanding of health and safety, and strong interpersonal skills. Previous laboratory, leadership or school experience is highly desirable for this role (although any necessary further training can be provided).

King Edward VI Grammar School, Chelmsford (known as KEGS locally) is a Leading Edge School, constantly testing and adapting professional practice to raise standards of teaching and learning.
