Do you know how to get outstanding results from pupils?

We are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic full time teacher of ICT, to teach KS3 and GCSE in Computer Science and Business Studies, to join our successful Computing department commencing September 2025. This post is suitable for either an Early Careers Teacher (ECT) or an experienced teacher with the emphasis on the computing element; knowledge of text based programming languages is essential e.g. Python.

The successful candidate will be, or aspires to be, an outstanding classroom practitioner, who has the ability to enthuse our pupils with a passion for the subject and encourage them to become independent learners, be a good team player and able to support the Subject Leader in implementing significant changes to the GCSE Curriculum and assessment.

Swanmore College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational, 11-16 comprehensive secondary school, situated in a rural location approximately 13 miles south of Winchester, Hampshire. There are currently 1,200 pupils on the school roll. 

The secondary school is part of the Eastleigh Consortium, which is an association of 14 local schools and colleges. The aim of the consortium is to encourage the sharing of ideas and materials that have been produced by staff.
