Come and join our vibrant heavily oversubscribed 11-18 rural school with excellent facilities. We are a happy, forward thinking, creative and collegiate staff body and you will be joining the school at an exciting stage of its development.  

We are excited to have the opportunity to add to our dedicated Science team a teacher with a proven track record or the ability and willingness to build that record with our support. You will be ready to inspire and light fires in KS3 and 4. 

To be successful, you will: 

Have the required experience to teach Science across the whole ability range in KS3 and KS4. There is the potential to teach Science at KS5 for a candidate with suitable experience.

·        Be an inspirational leader with passion, drive, and a commitment to consistently deliver outstanding teaching in Science.

·        Be able to engage our young people through an inclusive curriculum.

·        Ensure our young people develop the stamina and resilience that comes from engaging them in challenging tasks

·        Have the patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

·        Be flexible and open to change.

·                 Be able to develop a flexible range of teaching strategies

·        Understand that students take individual and multiple pathways in their learning

Idsall School is a co-educational, non-denominational secondary with sixth form in Shifnal, Shropshire. The school has been an academy since 2014, and has on average 1330 students on the school register with 200 in sixth form. The historic market town of Shifnal is a few minutes from Junction 4 of the M54 motorway. The school is within 5 minutes walking distance of the town centre railway station which has excellent transport links from Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton and Birmingham. The school is located a short distance from Shifnal Primary School. The school motto translates from Latin as ‘from little acorns large oaks grow’. Idsall School was once the nearest secondary comprehensive to Lillleshall FA Academy, and can claim the record for the school to have educated the most England internationals.
