This is a whole bearings lesson with all resources. It is based around the topic of WWII and also uses a Call of Duty map as the main activity. The photo of the soldier is actually a soldier in the Black Watch called Arthur Arnold. He was made a prisoner of war and was missing presumed dead although turned up at home one day out of the blue at the end of the War!! He was my grandad and the children are always intrigued by the story!! Missions and other resources have been included.

This lesson gives an intro to primary and secondary data collection. I use this with my Y7 low ability students. It involves taking them to collect car colour data from the staff car park!! We then use a secondary sources to collect car colour data and compare the two. This can also lead on to the analysis and presentation of the data. I have sued it as a data source for bar charts, dual bar charts and also pictograms. It is also an opportunity for the students to discuss and make their own hypotheses.

This is a whole lesson covering who Fibonnacci was, where we see Fibonnacci and nature and why the sequence is important. Students then go on to create their own sequences from a given starting point. I used lots of real props so the children could see the sequence in a hands on way and they counted petals on different flowers.

<p>This is a lesson I used with my lower ability learners as a basic introduction to Pythagoras. It starts with general retrieval practise and leads onto who Pythagoras was with some funny facts about the Pythagoreans! Students are then introduced to Pythag Theorem! There are some guided and independent questions using right angled triangles but I supplement this with one of the may free worksheets on TES to consolidate the learning.</p>

I have used this lesson in my LA classes in Y7/Y8 to introduce measures in a practical and fun way.<br /> All resources are included including recording sheets and answer sheets. There is a fun game of SPLAT included at the end for a plenary where children need to work in pairs at the whiteboard to cover the correct answer in the quickest time! I usually use plastic fly swatters as this adds to the fun and memorable nature of the lesson!!

<p>This is a practical measures carousel lesson that I created for a very low ability Year 7 set.<br /> You will need to collect the resources and equipment listed but this was a fun and engaging practical lesson which the students enjoyed!!<br /> I have included labels for the carousel stations, differentiated worksheets and the answers (although these may be different depending on the equipment that you use).<br /> The plenary was a game of splat that I used on the white board with fly squatters!!<br /> Enjoy!!</p>
