<p>This is booklet which is introduces the First World War. It gives the context of 1914, an overview of the reasons, a brief summary of the alliances (including a map to shade) and an introduction to Propaganda.</p> <p>The sheet contains reading tasks and comprehension questions, as well as extension tasks for students who need further challenge.</p> <p>This was designed to be a cover lesson for a Y8 class who are moving on to the topic of WW1 soon. I didn’t want them to start detailed content learning in a cover lesson, so this was supposed to be a soft introduction. It is easy to follow for a cover teacher.</p>
