This is a thorough run through of the theories of Bentham and Mill (Act and Rule Utilitarianism). It includes the hedonic calculus and comes with an application sheet aimed to show the pupils how to apply it to real life situations. I ask my pupils to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of the hedonic calculus as they find it takes a long time to complete when they do it properly!
This goes well with the ‘other types of utilitarianism’ which can be bought separately or in a bundle, depending on the needs of the customer.
