This resource is made to help teach beginners Latin and is very intuitive with differentiated activities, stretch and challenge zones, and a range of cultural input. This has worked really well with pupils who are engaged with the content and style of activities. A non-specialist should be able to use this if you are introducing this as a literacy through Latin concept for a term.
This sequence of materials is based on Chapter 1 of De Romanis and the content has been adapted to teach Year 7s. This could be used with Year 6s.
The theme of this booklet is Gods and Goddesses starting with Ovid’s creation of the world and an adapted version of Hesiod’s ages of man from Telling Tales.
I hope that you enjoy, and if you like this check out the second in the sequence.
With one hour a week, this 25 page booklet should last approximately 6-8 weeks depending on pupil progress.
