Some resources made to support students with the content of component 1, synthpop which was one of my chosen genres.
Included:
- synthpop KO - covering all aspects of the task 1 written PPT with lots of examples!
- Planned lessons on structure, melody, rhythm, harmony, tonality, instruments, texture (timbre and production covered in KO)
- Sweet Dreams performance pack for bands, or could be adapted for solo performances
- Composing a synthpop inspired track for task 2 (which is what all of my students did) including a distinction example (garageband, but can be easily adapted to any other DAW)
