An engaging active lesson where students work as a team to design and cost a new app. A great first lesson of the year for year 9/10 students or as an introductory lesson. Can be made more/less challenging and is editable.

There are 6 timed activities that students complete in thier teams in order to win points. These activities include:
- reading and memorising information about the app industry, which they will then answer questions on, as well as use to make decisions about thier app later in the lesson.
- working together to come up with a range of possible ideas and thinking about how each idea might work, who might use it and why, then making a decision on which idea they should go with.
- designing and costing thier chosen idea
Then students put together a presentation where they will show the class their ideas. the class can then vote on which group they think have the best app.

Skills that students will develop include:
- Teamworking
- Communication
- Problem Solving
- Numeracy
- Discussion
- Presenting

Business topics covered include:
- Marketing - 4P's, Market Segmentation
- Finance - Break Even (possible extension idea) Profit/Loss, Costs

First resource I have ever bought, glad I did. This looks excellent and is really helpful for a non specialist teaching the topic.
