This is a full RE lesson resource on the Jewish festival of Hanukkah. The lesson looks at the story behind the festival and ways in which it is celebrated including the option of either creating a dreidel using a template or a creative task. We also offer this resource in a shorter tutorial / assembly format here.
This is an easy to follow power point lesson. The lesson has been planned to last for about 60 minutes however it is fully editable meaning that like all of our lessons, activities could be added, removed or changed.
No previous knowledge in this subject area is needed, the lesson is easily deliverable by someone who is not a subject specialist or an experienced Religious Education teacher. All of our lessons contain pronunciation prompts to allow for teacher confidence when using religious vocabulary and answers to questions for pupils.
