Perfect SOW for the new year!
This is a full scheme of work aimed at KS3. It includes a complete powerpoint presentation along with keyboard assessment music pieces and google form homework quiz.
It is aimed at year 8 in the hopes they have had an introduction to pitch and keyboard skills in year 7, but it could also suit year 9 or year 7 depending on ability and previous SOW.
The google quiz is excellent for homeworks or cover lessons if needed and is ready to go!
The powerpoint covers/includes:
-27 slides
- notes of the treble and bass clef
- introduction to rhythmic features such as triplets and dotted notes
- starter tasks on note reading
- links to helpful videos
- keyboard music including ‘can you feel the love tonight’ and other well known works.
- Assessment criteria for final performances.
