KS3 Performance Topic - Differentiated Fur Elise Sheet Music and Log - SOW

This is a resource that we currently do with year 7 classes. You could use this for one lesson or use it for a whole SOW. We give them half a term to work on this piece.

Each piece is differentiated and i print them off on different coloured card.
The Foundation is the easiest, with some of the notes from the melody taken out.
The Advancing one uses the whole melody of the Foundation with bass notes in the left hand part.
The Secure uses the melody from the real Fur Elise and the bass notes as in the advancing level
The Excellence is Fur Elise - with no notes given as help and in the correct time signature.

Students start on the level they are most comfortable with, which is usually the foundation but with enough practise they can move up through the sheets.

They also keep a log each lesson, of what their aim is for that day and give themselves an 'attitude to learning' grade at the end of the lesson.Helps to show students' progress when they are doing practical work on an instrument.
