The lesson is loosely based on the board game the game of life. The students are split into groups and have different scenarios that they must chose and then record the consequences of their decisions. These are both good and bad. This will lead all the students to get into some for of debt, i.e. and overdraft, loan or student loan which they must repay. Each round is a different scenario that people might face in life.
The students all record their incomings and outgoings on the record sheet, as well as keeping track of their debt and repayments they are making.
The lesson ends with a discussion around the topics of debt management, interest and is debt a bad thing?
