Engage your students with these music themed Sudoku puzzles that will help develop deductive reasoning and critical thinking while reinforcing their knowledge of music words and symbols!

Included in this pack are TEN music themed Sudoku puzzles.

All are 4 x 4 in size for junior musicians in Grades 2-4.

The following Sudoku puzzles are included in this pack:

♦ Three 4 x 4 Sudoku NOTE puzzles using the semibreve, minim, crotchet and quaver - both words and symbols are used.

♦ Three 4 x 4 Sudoku REST using semibreve, minim, crotchet and quaver - both words and symbols are used.

♦ Two 4 x 4 Sudoku DYNAMIC puzzles using p, mp, mf and f – includes the Italian term, English meaning and symbol!

♦ Two 4 x 4 Sudoku MUSIC SYMBOL puzzles using treble clef, bass clef, pause (fermata) and sharp – uses the symbol/sign only

An ANSWER key is provided for each puzzle.

Depending on the students’ grade level and ability they can either draw the missing music symbols only or just the words or both.

Print off as needed; laminate a class set or use on your digital projector etc.
